 Torsten hatte bereits frueh den Drang in die grosse weite Welt zu reisen. Schon als Schueler in den Ferien an Bord von Handelschiffen in Ostsee und Mittelmeer, liess er als Marineoffizier seine Leidenschaft zum Beruf werden und fuhr fuer die deutsche und amerikanische Marine durch die Weltmeere. Ein Studium in Kalifornien (Abschluss Master of Science) staerkte Kenntnis von Land und Leuten sowie der Sprache. |

Seit 1999 ist nun Big Island ihr Zuhause! Sabine empfaengt Besucher am
Flughafen in traditioneller Kleidung und fuehrt historische Touren entlang
der Kona Kueste; Torsten fuehrt seither kenntnisreich mit Charme, Leidenschaft
und ALOHA Besucher ueber die Insel und zum Vulkan.

 All her studies culminated in writing a book about Hawaiian history and culture. Meeting a lot of nice people, many became friends, she absorbed the ALOHA spirit and the culture of the islands. The former travel agent, tour operator and model is now a Kona fashion store owner, she was born and raised in Germany - like her husband … |
 Torsten started traveling the world aboard cargo ships during summer breaks from school, and later made his passions an occupation. As a naval officer he served aboard ships in the German and US Navy. Studies brought him back to the U.S., travel and service on international staffs exposed him to people from many more countries. In the Hawaiian Islands he found the cornucopia of cultures in which he thrives and to which he wants to introduce the visitors of the
Together, Sabine-Maeva and Torsten made the Kona coast of the Big Island their home after about 40 visits to most of the beautiful islands chain. Sabine has guided many tours in the local and historically rich Kona area, while Torsten has been guiding tours to the volcano and around the island since their arrival in 1999, and does so with professional knowledge of nature, history and present developments—with the experience and charm of a person seasoned with life and filled with ALOHA. |
