Torsten started traveling the world aboard cargo ships during summer
breaks from school, and later made his passions an occupation. As a naval
officer he served aboard ships in the German and US Navy. Studies brought
him back to the U.S., travel and service on international staffs exposed
him to people from many more countries. In the Hawaiian Islands he found
the cornucopia of cultures in which he thrives and to which he wants
to introduce the visitors of the
“Island
at the End of the Rainbow.”

Together, Sabine-Maeva and Torsten made the Kona coast of the Big Island
their home after about 40 visits to most of the beautiful islands chain.
Sabine has guided many tours in the local and historically rich Kona
area, while Torsten has been guiding tours to the volcano and around
the island since their arrival in 1999, and does so with professional
knowledge of nature, history and present developments—with the
experience and charm of a person seasoned with life and filled with ALOHA.
